Introduction, After Effects vs. Premiere Scripting, Premiere Examples

This first video is here as a means to ease into the more technical levels of scripting within Premiere. I don’t write any code, or dig into the details.

This video is meant to serve as a short background on me, and then dives into what scripting looks like in After Effects. After Effects is where I first learned the basics of scripting (it is much easier to learn) within an Adobe program’s environment. If you would like to learn more about about this, to ease your way into Premiere scripting, I recommend following the two links below for tutorials that will get you up and running:

If not, lets keep moving.

The rest of the video is some high level details to give you background into what your getting yourself into. You can expect a short discussion on what makes up an extension in Premiere and then I run through four basic examples to show that what I will be sharing in the next few movies does indeed work.

Please, reach out with any questions or comments. In the next post I will focus in on the file structure of an extension, and what it takes to load them into your program.
